US DOE Contracts with Ensys Energy for Keystone XL Impact
In June 2010, EnSys Energy was contracted by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Policy & International Affairs to conduct an evaluation of the impacts on U.S. and global refining, trade and oil markets of the Keystone XL project, which would bring additional Canadian crudes, including oil sands, into the U.S. EnSys employed its World Oil Refining Logistics & Demand (WORLD) model to address the potential impacts of constructing or not constructing Keystone XL through a series of pipeline export scenarios out to 2030. This report includes detailed review of Keystone XL and other projects as well as study results and conclusions.
