EnSys has supported the OPEC Secretariat every year from 2000, leading (since 2007) to the development of the downstream analysis and projections for the OPEC World Oil Outlook published each year. EnSys and the OPEC Energy Services Department (ESD) have worked each year in close collaboration to develop both a medium term outlook and, using the EnSys WORLD Model, a long term outlook currently through 2040. The Reference outlook provides projections of refining activity and investments by region, with detail of both primary and secondary capacity, also crude and product trade. Commentary on potential alternative outlooks and on current major developments is also included.
