Using WORLD, EnSys evaluated the worldwide refining sector catalyst market with emphasis on future requirements for hydro-processing and catalytic cracking. EnSys obtained data from industry sources and via literature research and applied the findings to embody refinery process catalyst consumptions within WORLD. Together with data and outlooks for crude slate quality, demand by product and trends in refined product sulfur standards, WORLD cases were used to develop a reference 10 year outlook with quantitative projections for refinery processing activity and new capacity requirements by region and hence related projected catalyst market volumes.
